Board Positions

Secretary - Information Manager:

The board secretary is an active conduit for communication between board members. This individual is responsible for proactively collaborating with board members to set up meetings, giving proper notice of any meetings, and promptly distributing materials like agendas and minutes.

This position is a vital piece of the puzzle for our organization and we are looking for an organized individual with excellent communication skills.

MEF - School Representative:

Are you involved in your school site community? Be an advocate for your school as an MEF-School Representative! In this role, you’ll bring opportunities to your school from MEF. You’ll help MEF brag about your school to the rest of our community. And you’ll help keep your school up-to-date with the latest MEF activities.

sports in moreland chair:

Are you a strong believer in “healthy bodies, healthy minds” for Moreland students? The Sports in Moreland (SiM) Chair is the liaison between Moreland coaching staff and MEF. You’ll help maintain the excellent sports program by helping plan the awards banquets and raise money.

Volunteers

MARKETING HELP:

Know how to write copy? Manage email blasts? Post to Istagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok or some social media site we haven’t even heard of yet? Love to design flyers or strategize marketing campaigns? MEF needs you! We’re in the process of re-branding and can use your help!

We are looking for:

  • Someone with experience and skill creating a branding and marketing plan.

  • Someone to write regular emails that advance our mission and promote our events.

  • Someone with social media experience that can share our story.

Graphic Designers:

2D Design, digital design, event (trade show) packages - You name, we need it! We have a good base, but we need to create a complete package to increase our visibility and raise more money.

We are looking for:

  • T-shirt designs.

  • Print graphic design - brochures, flyers, etc.

  • Digital design - website (squarespace)

  • Presentation materials for HSC/PTO meetings, pumpkin patch, and 5K.

TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM COORDINATORS:

Work with Moreland teachers and staff to apply for MEF’s project-based grant program.

EVENT PLANNERS & HELPERS:

Calling all party planners and event coordinators! We’re looking to build community through in-person and potentially online events, and we want your ideas and energy! We have a couple of pre-set events each year including Pumpkin Patch in the fall and our 5K in the spring, and we are always looking for helpers in the days before and during events.

Pumpkin Patch

  • Operations and coordination with the school district.

  • Marketing and advertising.

  • Volunteer recruitment and scheduling.

5K

  • Operations and coordination with the school district.

  • Volunteer recruitment and scheduling.

  • Manage online and/or in person registration.

TRANSLATION HELP:

Many people in our community primarily communicate in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and other languages. We want to be inclusive of every family, and are looking for help translating specific texts on an ongoing basis.
